Grants Administration

CAPITAL YOU NEED TO GROW

As a trusted conduit for the City of Philadelphia, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and private funders, PIDC administers several state and local government grant initiatives. PIDC helps eligible businesses, nonprofits, and development projects to understand available grant programs, connect to apply, and take grantees step-by-step through the funding process if  awarded.

WHO WE SERVE

PIDC works on behalf of its partners, such as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and City of Philadelphia, to administer grants to recipients located in Philadelphia, once the awardees have been selected by those partners.

Generally, PIDC does not determine grant eligibility criteria or participate in the selection process. However, PIDC can direct you to the appropriate partners, resources, and program applications that may be available to support your needs.

TYPES OF FUNDS AVAILABLE

While grant eligibility and availability are subject to change, there are typically funds available to both for-profit and nonprofit entities that can support the following needs:

  • Acquisition, renovations, and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, and historical improvement projects
  • Storefront improvements on eligible commercial corridors
  • Design and construction of stormwater retrofit projects on commercial, industrial multifamily, and institutional properties
  • Development and maintenance of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI)

HOW WE WORK

The first step in exploring grant opportunities in Philadelphia is to explore PIDC’s website for information on programs that may be relevant to your needs.  This site is not a comprehensive listing, and focuses primarily on those grant programs that PIDC directly administers on behalf of its partners.  PIDC’s site will link you to the relevant program materials, applications, and contact information for each program.

If you have questions, you can get in touch with a member of PIDC’s conduit finance team who can help to answer or direct you appropriately.
