SCOPE

PIDC is seeking economic modeling and projection services together with consulting and advisory services in relation to the Project to better understand the impacts of proceeding with the Project, support informed public debate, and support discussions with the Sixers.

OVERVIEW

The City of Philadelphia has initiated an independent and comprehensive evaluation of the impact, opportunities, and challenges posed by a proposed sports arena on the 1000 block of Market Street, first proposed by the Philadelphia 76ers in summer 2022.

The Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) is requesting proposals to support the City of Philadelphia’s review and analysis of the Sixers proposed new sports arena in Center City Philadelphia.

Studies will assess building design, community impact and urban planning, economic impact, and parking/traffic impact. As the City’s partner and lead economic development agency, PIDC will facilitate the City’s due diligence regarding the impact of the project to the city and the surrounding communities and is issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) to evaluate these considerations.

Please note the ability to provide timely support and teams that show meaningful commitment to diversity will be critical for the successful respondent(s), in addition to demonstrated subject matter expertise.
