This Hispanic Heritage Month, we are highlighting just a few of our Hispanic and/or Latino owned PIDC client businesses and PIDC clients that primarily focus on services for Hispanic and/or Latino communities.
Food
Boricua Restaurant
An authentic, family-owned Puerto Rican food restaurant with locations in Northern Liberties and Port Richmond.
Don Pedro Meats & Market Inc.
Don Pedro Meats and Market is a bustling butcher shop and grocery store on Castor Avenue in the Oxford Circle section of Northeast Philadelphia. The store caters to the local Brazilian, Dominican and Columbian communities, offering a wide variety of meat products, sausage made on site, homemade jams, salsas, fresh produce, and more.
Ively Grocery
A Dominican restaurant serving a variety of dishes including seafood, goat, herring, chicken, salad, vegetables, and more.
Jeisy’s Grill Chicken
A restaurant serving breakfast, chicken, coffee, tea, sandwiches, and more.
Los Tacos Food Market
A restaurant serving authentic Mexican food with traditional flavor.
LUHV Food
A manufacturing company dedicated to producing 100% nutritional vegan foods. LUHV Food’s products can be found in local chains of supermarkets, including Whole Foods Market and MOM’s Organics.
Mixto
Mixto’s cuisine is a mixture of Cuban, Latin American, and Caribbean flavors. The restaurant is known for its traditional dishes such as Paella, Argentine Churrasco and Rotisserie Pernil.
Rico Mexican Tacos
A Mexican take-out restaurant.
Tierra Colombiana
Tierra Colombiana sits in the heart of the Hispanic community in North Philadelphia and serves traditional Latin American and Caribbean flavors.
Arts + Culture
CEG Performing Arts Academy
CEG Performing Arts Academy is a youth development program providing performing arts education, community entertainment, and an appreciation for the cultural diversity in our world. CEG studio rental space is also available for classes, workshops, shows, music videos, photo shoots, private parties, and recording.
Taller Puertorriqueño, Inc.
Taller Puertorriqueño is a nonprofit organization that uses art to promote development within its community and the Latino Diaspora and build bridges to the Greater Philadelphia region. Since its inception in 1974, Taller has been elevating and preserving Puerto Rican and Latino culture through arts and cultural programming. With its art-education programs, socially conscious art exhibitions, book readings, and events, Taller engages the public in discussions that stimulate the mind, create opportunities, and make connections between people and communities.
Health + Wellness
Esperanza Health Center
Esperanza Health Center is a multi-cultural ministry providing holistic healthcare to the Latino and underserved communities of Philadelphia. Its new center, which replaces its former site at 3156 Kensington Avenue, has a healthy foods cafe as well as meeting and event spaces. Esperanza Health Center provides care that looks at the needs of the whole person, including physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It also ensures that care is available and affordable to all, develops partnerships with each of its patients to pursue total health, and works together with the church and local organizations to bring healing and wholeness to the North Philadelphia community.
Fortaleza Physical Therapy Centers
A physical therapy center with a bilingual staff (Spanish and English) and three separate locations in Philadelphia that have served patients’ rehabilitation needs since 1994.
Magaly Spa
Magaly Spa is a health and wellness center that uses state-of-the-art methods, technologies, and equipment to ensure total customer satisfaction. With over 20 years of experience Magaly Spa’s medical estheticians offer a wide variety of spa services and provide personalized programs to fit everyone’s needs. Casa Papel’s mission is to bring your vision to paper. They specialize in creating one-of-kind design, stationery, and paper solutions made with utmost craftsmanship.

With more than 40 years combined industry experience, DL Metal Design’s team specializes in fabrication of miscellaneous, ornamental, and light structural metal projects.

Financial Integrity Resources Management, LLC is a certified minority-owned financial service company that specializes in fostering creative vehicles for preserving and creating wealth for its institutional and individual clients.
