Temple II - LEED PlatinumOn March 6th, the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) hosted more than 100 developers, bankers, realtors, City representatives and Community Development Corporations (CDCs) at the offices of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.  The event was designed to educate attendees on tax-exempt funding opportunities for affordable housing development projects.

The program included moderator Roy Diamond, Diamond and Associates and panelists Mark Deitcher, Mission First Housing Development Corporation; Michael Polite, Ralph A. Falbo, Inc.; Sakinah Rahman, PIDC;  Susan Belles, PHFA; and William  C. Rhodes, Ballard Spahr LLP.

Attendees learned about the application process and fee structures associated with tax-exempt bonds from PIDC and PHFA, as well as the role bond counsel plays in the process, from Ballard Spahr.  Mission First Housing Development Corporation and Ralph A. Falbo, Inc. provided illustrations of successful projects.

Attendees were able to engage the panelists in a Q&A session as well as network at the end of the program.
