PIDC continues to grow, drawing from Philadelphia’s top talent. We recently hired an excellent group of hardworking, talented, and experienced employees in various fields. It is our pleasure to introduce you to our new additions to the PIDC team!

Holly Alsentzer

Hometown:
Flourtown, PA

Role at PIDC:
Executive Assistant at the Navy Yard

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

Collaborating with local organizations and communities, participating in community development, and using my skills to encourage growth, understanding and compassion. Sometimes we lose sight of the human element of life. Love, support, understanding, and hard work makes a recipe.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because….

Philadelphia is great… PERIOD. Born, raised, and growing every day in this city… I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Jazmin Rodriguez

Hometown:
South Philly

Role at PIDC:
Loan Processor

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

As a loan processor, I look forward to supporting PIDC’s Portfolio Management team in servicing our loans that support our small business community while also tracking each transaction throughout the entire process—servicing each loan from setup to payoff.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because….

I love Philadelphians for their diversity and their spirit and passion for their city.

Markell Carter

Hometown:
Philadelphia, PA

Role at PIDC:
Administrative Coordinator

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

My role here at PIDC is to provide a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and services to the people of Philadelphia in order to support our staff in helping our local businesses and communities thrive.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because….

Philadelphia is where the heart is. I love Philadelphia whether it is living or working in it because it’s original and full of love no matter the popular opinion.

Chase Schulte

Hometown:
Punta Gorda, FL

Role at PIDC:
Loan Officer

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

I’ll be helping provide the city’s businesses and nonprofits with the capital they need to grow, thrive, and be successful in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because….

We have the best food, the best block parties, the most welcoming neighbors, amazing history and culture, parks like Rittenhouse Square, and streets like St. Albans Place, in every corner of the city

In addition to our full time team members, we recently brought on an intern to support our government affairs initiatives.

Most interesting thing learned while working at PIDC:

I have learned that equitable economic development requires a multiple pronged approach. There needs to be an emphasis on small, local business support on the commercial corridor alongside large scale development. Through this approach Philly’s neighborhood businesses and storefronts can be more vibrant than ever. All this can be done through engaging stakeholders and elected officials.I have also learned that our staff know so many incredible food spots around the city—a lot of them being PIDC clients!

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because:

Philly is the best because of all the colorful, walkable neighborhoods. Each weekend, I like to spend a little time in a few different corners of Philly, whether it be biking to the Clark Park Farmers’ Market, grabbing tacos or pho in South Philly, or visiting family in Brewerytown.
