PIDC continues to grow, drawing from Philadelphia’s top talent. We recently hired an excellent group of hardworking, talented, and experienced employees in various fields. It is our pleasure to introduce you to our new additions to the PIDC team!

Alicia Santiago

Wallkill, NY
Navy Yard Analyst & Project Manager

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

I will be supporting the implementation of the Navy Yard Master Plan update, including energy, transit, development, sustainability, and public realm projects. The Navy Yard’s growth will spur investment in development, jobs, and people, which will benefit the city as a whole.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because…

…Of the history, culture, and diversity. Philadelphia has so much to offer, and it’s still affordable. As a “city of neighborhoods,” I love exploring different neighborhoods and learning the different cultures. It’s walkable, bikeable, regionally accessible, and has access to tons of green space and trails. It has everything I’m looking for in a city.

Dante Johnson

Philadelphia, PA
Treasury Operations

Director, Treasury Operations

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

I believe my capital markets experience, which has been largely focused on supporting municipal entities’ growth, will help to drive value in the Philadelphia community. PIDC is the best vehicle to connect neighborhoods and small businesses with the ultimate goal of economic development. My understanding of how to navigate these processes seamlessly and efficiently combined with an extensive network will be an asset to PIDC’s mission.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because…

Philadelphia is a big city that also knows how to come together like one big family. Growing up in the Philadelphia area, I’ve seen the growth in the community and its people. Philadelphia offers a wealth of culture, food, art, greenery, music, and sports within an arm’s length of each other. We also have some of the best educators, hospitals, and one of the country’s busiest ports. With all that happening, the city of Philadelphia offers great welcoming energy to its residents and non-residents.

Kevin Lessard

Toms River, NJ

Strategy, Communications, & Partnerships

Vice President, Marketing Communications and Government Affairs

What role will you play in helping PIDC drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia?

I’m committed to working in coordination with the PIDC team and our regional economic development partner agencies to continue driving an equitable and full scale recovery from the impacts of the pandemic on the local business community. It’s important to continue sharing stories of the people powering Philadelphia’s resilient neighborhoods, along with the impact of PIDC’s community support and services. Our work ensures that Philadelphia not only regains economic momentum, but it’s positioned for growth in the years ahead.

Philadelphia is a great place to study, work, and play because…

It’s been said before but it’s true: Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods—each one tells a story of history, culture, pride and passion. Philadelphians are loyal, passionate, and proud. They’re proud of their city’s history, proud of their own roots, and proud to celebrate the many differences in backgrounds and viewpoints. I love that Philadelphia is small enough where anyone can make an impact, but big enough that your impact matters. And our world-class cultural institutions, parks, award-winning restaurants, and 100-plus area colleges and universities all add to the unmatched vibrancy of our city.
