The PIDC family lost a few good members this year. Each of them brought their unique skills to the company and it always showed in the work they did.

Carol Collins was with PIDC for over 30 years and was always helpful and greeted everyone with kindness as they entered the doors. Even on the days she didn’t feel her best should would put on a smiling face and make sure clients, staff, and visitors alike received the best service.

Joan Dougherty was with PIDC for nearly 18 years and was known as the “clients’ best friend”. The care she took in working with clients as an underwriter was invaluable. Her knowledge and willingness to train others will be missed.

Pat Heron worked in the Special Projects Group at PIDC from 1981 to 1987. He had a great sense of humor and was dedicated to the work he was doing for the city of Philadelphia.

PIDC will always remember Matt Honea and his passion for providing assistance to young people in Philadelphia’s underserved neighborhoods. Matt had a very generous spirit and touched many people at PIDC and across the city. The Make The World Better Foundation (MTWB) has established the Matt Honea Memorial Fund. Louise Shrader worked at the Navy Yard as an administrator. She had a kind heart, and a wealth of knowledge she enjoyed sharing with others. She also a fondness for animals and could often be seen feeding lost kittens that would seem to find their way to the Yard.

Please keep their families in your thoughts in prayers this holiday season.
