In April 2018 PIDC and our partners released Philadelphia Delivers: A Hub for Logistics & Distribution. Since the release of this report which outlined the case for logistics and distribution facilities in Philadelphia’s well-suited industrial land, the city has continued to see investments in this industry.

Proving there is major growth opportunity for the market, below are just two of the latest examples of available properties both of which are being built on a speculative basis — a rarity to Philadelphia, especially for buildings of this size.

Philadelphia Logistics Center
The Philadelphia Logistics Center is a new 207,500 square foot state-of-the-art logistics center located at 3025 Meeting House Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154. It is set in a strategic Philadelphia location with ideal access to key mid-Atlantic locations via a total of seven highway entrances within 10 miles, New Jersey Turnpike, and I-95, to name a few. The property also has 242 parking spaces. The new construction site is underway and will be available for occupancy in the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Independence Logistics Center
The Independence Logistics Center is a development planned for 2021 Woodhaven Road. The project is moving along expeditiously and should start construction in spring of 2019. Independence Logistics Center is located in close proximity to Rt. 1, I-276, and I-95. It will include 75 car parking spaces, 16 trailer parking spaces, and a truck court along with 16 loading docks, and many more features!
