At PIDC, we believe in reflecting on the relationships that matter most—both personally and professionally and we we want to express our heartfelt appreciation to a few of our clients. Whether you’ve attended one of our Business Builder workshops in English or Spanish, worked with our real estate team to find the perfect location for your business, or have gotten help with funding, we are grateful for the many clients that we have across Philadelphia.

To show our gratitude, we asked our team members to share personal messages of love and appreciation for our clients. We’re excited to share the responses below and celebrate all of our PIDC clients that continue to drive growth to every corner of Philadelphia.

Q: Which PIDC client would you like to show love, share a memory of, or express gratitude to?

“To Alterra Property Group, thank you for the development of the Lincoln Square project at Broad and Washington! The project brought much needed amenities to my neighborhood and every time I am there I feel grateful that the intersection has been revitalized.”

“I absolutely love the mission of Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School and the opportunities it provides. The exciting and impressive work that students are creating and accomplishing, along with the powerful impact it has on both the students and the community, is why I am involved with New Markets Tax Credits.”

“Sending love to Darling Jack (a part of the Safran Turney Hospitality family) for a great experience there! I recently went to Darling Jack for the first time with my coworker Holly for happy hour. Such a beautiful space with great drinks and service. Special shout out to our bartender Abby for making us feel welcome!”

I am sending love to The Franklin Fountain. It has become one of my most visited ice cream shops in the city of Philadelphia. I am a huge fan of their cookies and cream and chocolate fudge ice cream. ”

“In my early days at PIDC, Marla and I were invited to join the Flower Committee, a wellness initiative organized by On the Goga. Each month, we received two stunning bouquets from Vault + Vine, and our task was to deliver them to two people on staff. Marla and I would chat about who might appreciate the flowers most, and seeing the joy on their faces when we arrived was always heartwarming. We continued this every month until every staff member had received a bouquet. I love this memory, not only for the happiness it brought to the office, but also because it was a project made possible by not one but two PIDC clients.”

The Marian Anderson Museum is a treasured cultural institution in Philadelphia. It is small, intimate, and truly immerses you into the life of the great singer and civil rights icon Marian Anderson. I encourage everyone to support and show some love to the Marian Anderson Museum in celebration of Black History Month!”

Rachel Hazzard

Marketing & Communications Director

“I love Mural City Cellars! Their new winery location was a welcome addition to my neighborhood. Mural City Cellars is a great spot for a girls night, date, or happy hour. All of the wine is unique and tasty, but I especially recommend the Pet-Nat Blanc. It’s sparkling, citrus-forward, and juicy—perfect sipping for a summer evening, although I enjoy it all year round.”

Director of Impact Analysis

Milk Jawn has a great pistachio ice cream that is there for me no matter what’s going on in life. Their ice cream, including their vegan flavors, pack so much taste; it’s almost unbelievable. The totality of my life is defined by two phases: before trying Milk Jawn, and after.”
