“The World Meeting of Families and Papal Visit will have hugely positive impact on Philadelphia’s economy and has the unique potential to elevate our city’s global profile for years to come,” said Alan Greenberger, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development.  “We know that due to the volume of people expected and security arrangements that will be in place, business owners will need to make adjustments and the Department of Commerce is standing by to provide any assistance necessary.”

A dedicated team from the Office of Business Services (OBS) will be on hand at the Business Resource Center to provide information, answer questions, and respond to emails and voicemails as quickly as possible.  In specific case-by-case instances OBS staff may need to track down information from other City departments or partners and respond to inquiries at a later time.  Business owners seeking general information about doing business in the City of Philadelphia should visit the City’s online business services website (https://business.phila.gov/) which provides comprehensive information on how to plan, start and grow a business in Philadelphia.
