In celebration of Women’s History Month, we introduce to you one of our many successful women-owned business clients, Pamela Fly, president of P.A. Fly Contracting, Inc.  P.A. Fly Contracting, Inc. is a women-owned commercial carpentry subcontractor with more than 50 years of combined experience in the construction industry.  P.A. Fly concentrates on offering drywall, rough and finish carpentry, acoustical and specialty ceilings, metal framing and other related carpentry services to its customers.   Early in her construction career, Pamela was a member of Local #19 Sheet Metal Workers before forming P.A. Fly Contracting, Inc. in 2004.  Her time as a tradeswomen assisted Pamela in gaining a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the complexities of projects on site and off.  This past experience helped influence her innovative hands-on approach to managing every aspect of the company.

P.A. Fly Contracting has been a PIDC client since 2015 when it received a Contract Line of Credit Loan to help finance costs associated with several contracts.  Most recently, P.A. Fly completed the carpentry package for Wawa’s Center City flagship store at Broad and Walnut St.,  FMC TOWER Amenities Floor and Parking Garage Elevator at Cira Centre South and Altar’d State, a women’s retail store in the King of Prussia Mall Expansion.  Client list include completed projects within the corporate, academic, retail, hospitality, health care and transportation industries.

Pamela is a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program at the Community College of Philadelphia.  Pamela believes that the program shifted her entrepreneurial outlook and gave her the tools to ensure her business withstands the highly competitive world of construction.  We look forward to hearing more of P.A. Fly Contracting, Inc. is certified WBE, WOSB and DBE through (WBENC) Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and (PAUCP) Pennsylvania Unified Certification Program.
