photo 10Last month supporters, city officials and Revolutionary War re-enactors gathered to break ground on the latest historical museum in Old City Philadelphia. The Museum of the American Revolution will offer 32,000 square feet of engaging experiences in permanent and changing exhibit galleries, two theaters, and space that will accommodate a broad range of programming. The Museum’s home will be steps away from Independence Hall at 3rd and Chestnut Streets and will tell the full story of the American Revolution using art collections, artifacts, and manuscripts. The Museum is scheduled to open in late 2016.
