Day two of the summit featured a showcase of investable solutions designed to engage a wide variety of investors with a dynamic array of investable opportunities in the Philadelphia region. Ben Franklin and Investors Circle hosted a session titled Startups & Early Stage Impact Investing, Opportunity Finance Network presented a session on CDFI’s and community investment, and Built By Philly – a partner initiative of the City of Philadelphia‘s Department of Commerce, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, and PIDC – hosted a session on catalytic financing for Philadelphia’s BIPOC entrepreneurs.
PIDC hosted a session on impact-driving real estate investment which featured a diverse group of four rising stars on the local development scene. In this session moderated by Lawrence McComie, PIDC’s vice president of project finance, each developer made a 7-minute pitch on an impactful real estate development fund model or portfolio in hopes of fundraising capital. The pitches focused on the solutions driven forward by certain investments, such as racial equity, wealth building, access to resources, and more. Here’s a snapshot of our incredible presenters.
